Star Student

The new release from The Scrappy Kat is a sort of not really new kit called Star Student. I say not really quite new because Star Student was featured in the August 2012 edition of The Fix over at Digi Scrap Addicts. But now that the month is over, Kat's added it to her Stuff to Scrap store & you can grab it for 30% off for a limited time. This is a fun kit to use for your back-to-school pictures or even those pictures from long ago like mine!

A Little Cuckoo

Yup, that perfectly describes my life! It's also the title of the newest kit from B2N2 Scraps, A Little Cuckoo which is just how it sounds, funky & fun. I just love the bright color palette & the bird elements with the looks of confusion totally fit many of my interactions with my boys. Even better, you can pick up the kit & quick page set for 30% off this weekend, what a steal!

September 2012 Build A Kits

The start of September has been quite the busy one around my house as we got a new puppy on the 1st! Which we are all so excited about but it has made live very busy, trying to get two 4 year olds to understand the concept of gentle with a 10-week-old puppy is challenging to say the least. Which brings me to the September Build A Kits which are all about new things in your life. There is quite a variety of kits from new babies to new homes to a new you to a new school!

Along with the theme of new, we are trying something new with the BAK purchases. When you buy a BAK pack, you'll get a cluster pack created from the various BAK packs for free! Included with your purchase will be a text file containing the coupon code for the clusters.

Here's a closer look at the clusters, as you can see even with the kits all having different themes they can be combined in anyway you'd like.

Let's start off by taking a look at my part of the BAK, I decided to go with some Baby Clothes Cards that can be used for a baby shower or birthday celebration. Very cute if I do say so myself!

For my examples, I used the two submissions from The Scrappy Kat: Sweet New Boy Blossom & Sweet New Girl Blossom. Love these two & how Kat split up the color palette into the boy/girl themes.

Here's a closer look at the cards.

Now I have to admit that my favorite submission this month is from B2N2 Scraps because it's all about twins & triplets! Like me, Becky has a set of twins (but hers' are boy/girl) & finding cute twin kits can be hard. I've been prodding Becky to make a twin kit for a while & this palette/theme was the inspiration she needed. Double Joy & Triple Joy are so cute & I just had a blast working with them. Only problem was I got so overwhelmed with the cuteness that I only got one layout done but I've got a list of about 10 more I need to make!

Please note that Double Joy & Triple Joy are the same kit with just one added baby for Triple Joy kit so make sure you're grabbing the right one! The paper packs are the same for both. Also, in the Double Joy kit the twins include are boy/girl & in Triple Joy they are boy/girl/boy; you can snag the additional variations in the add-on packs (shown below) & the the alpha coordinates with both kits.

There's even more cuteness as Meagan of Meagan's Creations took the kits & made a set of word arts to go along with each. To say I'm in twin mom heaven is an understatement. Enjoy!
