Fabulously Fall

Need a kit that can cover both Halloween & Thanksgiving? Then check out Fabulously Fall from Scrappin' Serenity, this is a multipurpose kit for all your fall needs from the changing leaves to spooky pictures to holiday dinner pictures. I love that it's so versatile!

Here are some pictures from one of our trips to a fall festival for this, there was a giant bin of corn & we were having a blast playing in it. As you can see on the left, Ian let me completely bury him in corn but Jake got a little freaked out when some corn got in his ear. It didn't get stuck but he was done with getting buried in corn at that point.

I also used the kit to do the November 2012 Hybrid Challenge; Kat of The Scrappy Kat has provided a super cute Owl Pillow Box for everyone to use & make some holiday treats with. The box on the left is the template used as designed but on the right, I made a bunch of little circles & then layered them to create a feather look. I then used some of my Fun Sized Candy Wrappers to make the candy I stuffed inside look pretty, it was a fun project but you've only got a few more days to pick it up & earn the points.

Give Thanks by The Scrappy Kat

In all the craziness of the holiday last week, I totally forgot to blog about another new kit from The Scrappy Kat, Give Thanks. This is a cute little Thanksgiving mini that you can get for free right now in the Stuff to Scrap store with a purchase of $5.00 or more. Since there are still a lot of great sales going on (check them out in the Black Friday thread) you can still snag some great deals & get this mini for free.

I had fun with my layout for this, we used a brine on our turkey again this year; this time I tried the recipe from Our Best Bites & it was amazing. Jake (my youngest) took these pictures for me, I'm just happy the dog didn't fall into the brine but Toby probably would have loved it!

Geeky Espionage

Whew, last post of the day! If you're a James Bond fan (I'm seeing the movie this weekend, whoohoo!) or love computers, then the new kit Geeky Espionage from B2N2 Scraps will be right up your alley. It's full of spy & technology themed elements & there is just no other kit out there like it; it's a must have for any stash.

Make sure to check out all the products in Becky's store while they are sale this weekend, you just might find something you don't have in your stash yet.

And you can use some of your new products to participate in the scraplift challenge that's being hosted over on Becky's Facebook page, go check it out!

Let Me Count the Circles & USA A-OK!

How about a new release or two from me? I've been working on this one for a while, it's a template of the USA with each of the states as a separate layer. This would be a great template to use for the November 2012 Scrap What? Challenge (I'm hosting!) where you'll need to scrap about where you've lived.

Several of the designers helped me out with layouts, I just love what they've done with the template!

My other new release is an expansion of the templates I made for the DSD Facebook Hop; I've called the complete set, Let Me Count the Circles & I had a lot of fun making them. In addition to the usual 12x12 & 8.5x11 sizes, I decided to also make a 11x8.5 set for people who scrap in landscape mode.

I didn't have much time this week to scrap but I made this one with the new release from Mommy Me Time Scrapper & The Scrappy Kat called Dive Into Winter.

Don't forget my whole store is on sale this weekend so you can pick up these new releases dirt cheap!

Dive Into Winter

Well, it's almost time for that show to start falling so I'm pleased to show off the new collaboration from Mommy Me Time Scrappy & The Scrappy Kat, Dive Into Winter. This huge kit will cover all your winter layout needs from snowflakes to trees to crazy snowmen. Even better, the kit is on sale right now as part of the Black Friday to Cyber Monday sale in Kat & Tammy's stores! Please note that the kit is the same no matter which store you buy it in.

Both of the templates I used for the layouts are my own, on the left I used one from the Let Me Count the Circles set & on the right is a template from the Future Photographer set.

Season of Thanks

While I didn't work with the newest kit from B2N2 Scraps, Season of Thanks (a collaboration with Flutterbye Faery Designs) I had to show it off as it's so lovely. This kit celebrates giving thanks & being grateful for all that we have; you can see some of the lovely layouts made with this kit over at Becky's blog. In addition to the kit, Becky has made a cluster pack, paper stack pack, word art pack & quick pages. You can snag everything but the quick pages in a bundle for some great savings & don't forget to check out the hybrid gratitude wreath project; would be something really fun to do with your family on Thanksgiving!

November Build A Kits

Have you seen the November Build A Kits yet? If not you should really check them out, this month there was a fun color palette to work with & the theme was "When I Grow Up." I have to say the kits our designers came up with are amazing & I got to work with a bunch! Remember that you have until the end of November to use the 50% off coupon code. Just put 3 or more BAK parts in your cart & use the code NOVBAK_BUY3_SAVE50% to save some dough!

First up, I have to show off the templates I made called Future Photographer. I made these because ever since my boys got a camera for their 4th birthday I have been the subject of many, many pictures. Might be revenge for the last few years, I'm not sure but it's very cute & I needed templates to scrap all those random pictures. As always, my templates come in both a 12x12 & 8.5x11 set with file formats in TIF, PSD, PNG, JPG & SBC.

I just love these templates 'em & here are two layouts I made with them; on the left are some of the pictures my boys took, you can see me in the middle row with our puppy at the other end. I actually used a non-BAK for this, Scrap It Too by Digi-designs by Nicole since I needed a camera element.

On the second layout, I used the super cute 911 Emergency (Fire) by Ponytails Designs; love what Natasha did with the theme & she even made a matching police themed kit for all the future cops out there!

The other BAK I got to play with was Explorer by B2N2 Scraps, it's a great camping kit for all the future explorers out there. This will come in very handy next summer as I plan on doing some geocashing with the boys. You can also snag a cute word art set to go along with the elements & papers.

I thought I didn't have any pictures for this so I decided to use it for my DSD bingo card; then I found this cute picture of Jake camping out on the landing & had to scrap it!

I didn't work with The Scrappy Kat's BAK, A Need For Speed, but I had to show it off anyway as it's very cool & I think I might have some pictures in my sash. Gotta find 'em first!

Stupendous Comrades

I've been a bad blogger lately but that will hopefully change ... after the holidays LOL! Seriously though, I totally forgot to post about several new releases so here's ze first, a kit by The Scrappy Kat called Stupendous Comrades. Do this ring a bell to anyone? Say with the cute little tiger elements & headless snowmen? It's a kit homage to Calvin & Hobbes! I was so upset when the cartoon was canceled & having this kit reminds me of all those Sunday mornings reading the comics.

Stupendous Comrades is the perfect kit for adventurous little boys & their companions; with plenty of elements you can use this kit for pictures from any time of year!
